Gotta agree with Scarecrow, while with 4 and 4A for me I began to enjoy the story more deeply the more I read and heard about it otherwise (though the game had a lot of story hidden in its nooks and crannies)...V was mostly just a disappointment personally. The graphics personally seemed worse than even 4 and 4A, the gameplay felt rather sluggish at times, and in the end what skill I had developed from 4 and 4A barely even helped. It has a ton of side missions, but the main story missions? You can finish those in about 2-3 hours. If you're unlucky, 3 and a half. I've not seen all the parts and everything else, but I'll definitely say that 4 and 4A very easily grab your abilities and make you use them. 5...I kinda ended up meandering about, somewhat developing the skills needed but...it's just clumsy, in a way, now.

Granted, 4 and 4A both have a very difficult thing about them too. As in the difficulty curve on the Hard mode ends up not only becoming a vertical line, but actually starts curving back around. Four high-powered ACs against just little you? Oh, and the fifth comes too!
